This project is an innovative gut renovation in downtown St. Louis, MO. Our client purchased the entire top floor of a downtown building including the rooftop. The new penthouse is almost 9000 square feet; it combined four previously separate apartments into one fabulous open floor plan. The rooftop contains a private pool, lanai, and separate guest bedroom suite along with kitchen and bath, which is another 1200 square feet. The renovation was in a century­ old rehabbed manufacturing building. One feature is an old freight elevator shaft which serves now as the new master bath shower. Almost the entire apartment was gutted and replaced with new materials. We created an eclectic design style mixed with modern, contemporary, transitional, and a touch of Hollywood glam resulting in a fascinating mix of old meets new.
